Ate here tonight with the extended family which meant more young kids than adults. Always a difficult meal out but staff were really friendly, attentive and patient.
Food was excellent, we had a variety of starters and mains and all were polished off with a smile. Children's food was of the same quality as well, real chicken strips with a nice crisp coating and decent portion sizes.
A good selection of drinks and desserts and the atmosphere was really good, a busy Wednesday night after a cool and sunny day. The outside seating with fires for warmth looked really good.
Definitely worth a visit and the seafront makes for a nice walk before / after the meal or both.

Very good pub. Lots of seating inside and outside. I can recommend the fish & chips and steak. There is a very good choice of locally sourced food on the menu. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. I would dine here again when I visit Weston Super Mare.

Lovely food and efficient friendly service is what we experienced to the backdrop of a stunning WSM sunset warmed by the fire pits
It didn’t need to be either. On a Sunday evening in July it was surprisingly the only open restaurant so our selection was limited, but despite this monopoly the experience was great. We will come back

We chose to sit outside, where the view of the sea framed our evening beautifully. The outdoor seating is dog-friendly, which made it all the more enjoyable for our four-legged companions. With table fire heaters casting a gentle glow, the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed—perfect for unwinding.

We began with two seafood starters: prawns and calamari. The prawns, sautéed in butter, chilli, and lemon, were a standout—rich, zesty, and perfectly balanced. The calamari, while tasty, didn’t quite match the prawns’ excellence. The batter was more tempura-like but lacked crispness, and the squid itself was sliced a little thin. Still, the flavor held its own and paired nicely with the seaside breeze.

For mains, we both opted for the Catch of the Day, which happened to be Ling—a lesser-known fish that turned out to be a delightful surprise. Grilled to perfection and served with a lemon caper butter, small boiled potatoes, and fresh broccoli, the dish was simple, elegant, and expertly executed. Each element complemented the other, letting the freshness of the ingredients shine.
🍓 Dessert: A Sweet Finale
To finish, I indulged in the fresh strawberry Eton Mess, topped with Chantilly cream. It was everything you’d hope for in a summer dessert—light, fruity, and indulgent without being heavy.

We loved this place so much we came back the second day. Welcoming staff, delicious drinks, cocktails and the food was excellent value. Loved the fire pit tables which enabled us to enjoy sitting outside. Also dog friendly.
